Aker Solutions has signed a contract with Woodside Energy Limited for the manufacture and supply of electro-hydraulic steel tube umbilicals (EHU) for the Greater Western Flank (GWF) Phase 1 project on the north-west coast of Australia, Norway Post reported.

Aker Solutions has signed a contract with Woodside Energy Limited for the manufacture and supply of electro-hydraulic steel tube umbilicals (EHU) for the Greater Western Flank (GWF) Phase 1 project on the north-west coast of Australia, Norway Post reported.

The scope of work includes project management, design, engineering, manufacturing and verification testing of two steel tube umbilicals at a total length of 17 kilometres.

The Bank of France indicated that the Eurozone's second largest economy had avoided a recession and that activity was likely to remain stable in the coming months, a picture confirmed by soft manufacturing data on 9 April from the Insee national statistics office.

One of Norway's oldest paper mills, Peterson Paper in Moss, established in 1801, has declared itself bankrupt, and is closing down, with the loss of 260 jobs, Norway Post reported on 12 April.

The Peterson Group's factory at Ranheim near Trondheim, will also be closed, and another 110 employees there will also lose their jobs.

The sister company Peterson Packaging with factories at Sykkylven, Sarpsborg and Ranheim will not be affected.

Estonian inflation is now expected to average 3.3% this year, the finance ministry last week said, upwardly revising the previous forecast of 2.8%. In the new economic outlook the ministry, however, reduced its outlook for consumer-price growth in 2013.
