Today, there are more than one million images of 20,000 sexually abused children posted on the Internet.
The European Union, in collaboration with governments, institutions and NGOs, is trying to remove these images, identify its creators and help abused children, but “much more has to be done”, stated MEP Emma McClarkin on 11 April in Brussels.
