Sri Sri Ravi Shankar


Born in India in 1956, H.H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a revered spiritual leader and humanitarian. His mission of uniting the world into a violence-free global family has inspired millions of people worldwide to work towards sustainable peace. Sri Sri is the recipient of numerous awards, including honorary doctorates and state honors. 

In 1997, he founded the International Association for Human Values (IAHV) to identify and foster the fundamental human values on a global scale. IAHV is working with marginalized communities to promote sustainable development, and has so far benefitted over 30,000 villages and trained more than 65,000 local youth on three continents. 

Sri Sri is also the founder of the International Art of Living Foundation (1981) dedicated to uplifting humanity and bringing peace at all levels of society. Both IAHV and IAOLF are volunteer-based charitable NGOs, active in over 151 countries. 

In 2003, he initiated the Ethics in Business – Corporate Culture & Spirituality dialogue series to examine ways and means of strengthening human values and ethics in business which later on evolved in the formation of the World Forum for Ethics in Business.
