In Sunday's referendum in Krakow, almost 70 percent of residents decided that they did not want their city to bid for the 2022 Winter Olympics, Krakow Mayor Jacek Majchrowski said on Monday.
The referendum is valid and binding for the city authorities as the turnout reached 35.96 percent, almost 6% more than the minimum required.
