One of the most influential comedians in the US, Stephen Colbert, used an unusual contraband to address the issue of border patrol along the US-Mexico state lines – bologna.


In the last episode of “The Colbert Report”, smuggling of comminuted semi-solid sausages prepared from one or more kinds from raw skeletal muscle meat was fully revealed.
Last November, the US Customs and Border Protection officers working at the Santa Teresa, New Mexico seized 35 rolls of Mexican bologna, weighting a total of 175 kilos.

The Spanish Government is set to defend its draft law on transparency, access to information and good governance during the Open Government Partnership in Brasilia.

This event is an initiative to defend international transparency, lead by the US and Brazil, and with the participation of UK, Mexico, Norway, South Africa and Indonesia.
