China and Kyrgyzstan are keen to foster co-operation. Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ruslan Kazakbayev recently paid a visit to China to attend the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Foreign Ministers Council. He met with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi.

The Japanese group Toshiba, has announced that it has stopped producing TVs in Japan as part of its strategy to revive this sector, which in 2011 it reported losses of €488 million.
The group has left the local manufacture of televisions and its last stop was in Fukaya's factory, on the north of Tokyo. However, it is expected that the company will continue producing products at its factories in Indonesia, China, Poland and Egypt.

Their desire to join is now under a certain status, most likely, it will be approved next month at the upcoming summit of heads of states of this Organization in Beijing on 6-7 June.

During the Fifth Trilateral Summit Meeting among China, the Republic of Korea (ROK) and Japan, held in Beijing on May 13 and 14, the three countries agreed to launch talks on a free trade area (FTA) this year and signed a promotion, facilitation and protection of investment agreement.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, said that the trilateral cooperation has become an important platform for the three East Asian countries to cement good-neighborly, friendship and expand common interests.

According to a new report released by Chinese National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on May 11, China's inflation eased slightly in April, while the country's consumer price index (CPI), a main indicator of inflation, rose 3.4 percent year on year in April.
The country's consumer price index (CPI) in March was 3.6 percent and according to economic analysts this was driven by falling food prices.

The move possibly paves the way to resolving a diplomatic stand-off with the United States.
