Gulf Cooperation Council adapts to European Union model

Leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council on May 14 participated in a meeting  in Saudi Arabia  to discuss on  a closer political, economic and military union .
 
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has already tied together militarily, politically and economically the Gulf Arab states of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Ten Arab leaders gathered on 29 March at a summit in Baghdad to discuss a draft resolution calling on Syria’s government to hold talks with the opposition and to end the violence in the country.

Ten Arab leaders gathered on 29 March at a summit in Baghdad to discuss a draft resolution calling on Syria’s government to hold talks with the opposition and to end the violence in the country.
 
As the summit opened, fewer than half leaders of the Arab world showed up, with only 10 leaders of the 22-member Arab League in attendance,amid a growing rift between Arab countries.
