Apple Inc plans to use a larger screen on the next-generation iPhone and has begun to place orders for the new displays from suppliers in South Korea and Japan.

LG, Sharp Corporation and Japan Display Inc are working in new screen for their devices, and Apple has decided to join this next tech step. According to Reuters, the new iPhone screens will measure 4 inches from corner to corner.

It would be possible that these three suppliers will get production order from Apple, that plans to go into production of the new iPhone as soon as August.

All users that purchased an iPod in the US between September 12, 2006, and March 31, 2009, are going to receive a surprising email from RealNetworks, during the next hours or days.

The software company, has officially enlisted iPod owners in a class-action lawsuit against Apple. RealNetworks created the music service Harmony in 2004, a digital rights management (DRM) translation service. It allowed users to play songs downloaded from the RealPlayer music store on Apple's iPod.

As the saying goes, the only certain things in life are death and taxes.  For Apple, Inc., though, it has been able to sidestep these certainties: having circumvented corporate death in the 1980s, now it is doing the same with corporate taxes.

It has recently been revealed that the company uses a tricky but legal method to eschew the payment of billions of dollars in tax every year. A report was published by the New York Times that stated that the company uses subsidiaries in Ireland, the Netherlands and other low-tax nations to cut back on its global tax bill.

According to a Chinese web portal, NetEase, Apple plans to launch a mini iPad to compete with Windows 8-based tablet.

This new device is going on sale later this year.

The blog also says the smaller Apple tablet could range in price from $249 to $299, with six million devices ready to launch.

The latest reports follow on from an article published in The Korea Times a few weeks ago which claimed Samsung had started providing Apple with new LCD technology for smaller iPads.
