Bulgaria is in talks with US oil major ExxonMobil about a hydrocarbon exploration block in the Black Sea that’s the subject of a dispute with Romania, online news service Hotnews reported, citing unidentified diplomatic sources.
On 20 March, Romania’s Foreign Minister Cristian Diaconescu reportedly said there has been litigation between Sofia and Bucharest over a 300 square-kilometre area in the Black Sea since 1994, because borders aren’t exactly delineated.
