Trade between EU and Russia drops
The European Union accounted for 51.8 percent of Russia's foreign trade in the first seven months of 2007, down from 55.8 percent in the same period a year earlier, the Federal Customs Service's press office reported. On the contrary, the Commonwealth of Independent States' share increased to 15.3 percent of Russian foreign trade, up from 14.5 percent in the same period of 2006. EurAsEC countries accounted for 8.8 percent, up from 8.1 percent in the first six months of 2006, while APEC states' share stood at 18.8 percent, up from 16.3 in January-July of 2006.
