NATO Secretary General to visit Kazakhstan
NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen recently met with OSCE chairman, the Secretary of State - the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabaev, in Brussels. During the talks it was decided that the NATO Secretary will visit Kazakhstan. An agreement to this effect was also reached on 27 January. Both sides discussed cooperation questions between Kazakhstan and NATO and positively assessed the negotiations, related to the next cycle of the individual plan of action of partnership of the North Atlantic Alliance with Kazakhstan, being the basis for partnership and opening the new prospects for cooperation. Rasmussen considered Kazakhstan the key partner of NATO in Central Asia. The main topic was the situation in the Central Asian region. |
