The Belarusian government will consider a new edition of the energy security concept in the middle of September, Industry and Energy Ministry official Vladimir Bobrov told a August 29 press conference in Minsk. He said the concept would be amended in keeping with the new terms of energy supplies. "The state programme has been reviewed with due account of changed economic conditions, investments, tariff policy and efficient uses of fixed assets," Bobrov said. The amended concept will ensure the modernization of Belarusian energy fixed assets with more effective steam gas equipment, coal, hydro and wind energy resources.
