First super-ethanol pumps launched by Total
French petroleum group Total recently launched its first super-ethanol pumps and is expecting to equip with 200 similar pumps across France by the end of this year, according to a statement published by the company, English People’s Daily Online reported. According to the statement, the super-ethanol pumps, which combine a maximum of 85 percent ethanol derived from agricultural products and 15 percent gasoline, were recently made operational in fuel stations around the Paris region. The statement further stated that the pumps would only be used by vehicles which are capable of using super-ethanol, unleaded gas 95 and 98 or a combination of the two.
