An enlarged meeting of the Board of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan was recently organized in Tashkent. The board members at the meeting discussed the results of the banking system in the first nine months of the year, reads a press release. Monetary policy of the Central Bank aimed at the attainment of the macroeconomic indicators and mitigation of the impact of the global financial crisis show the results. The total capital of commercial banks in Uzbekistan in January-September of the year reached almost 2.5 trillion som; assets of banks exceeded 15 trillion som.
