Azerbaijan, WB to wrap up their strategy
The Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan recently published terms of completion of the process of development of new Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) between Azerbaijan and World Bank Group, Trend news agency reported. Adalyat Muradov, the head of the MED Department of Forecasting & Economic Policy Analysis said that the ministry will submit the draft of the new strategy with WBG in June of this year. The ministry also aid that CPS will also be prepared this year. The government informed that it will coordinate with the Bank the strategic directions of partnership only for two years ahead, instead of four years as decide earlier. In December, World Bank regional director Assad Alam and a range of Bank’s sector directors conducted preliminary consultations within the framework of development of CPS for 2011-14. The heads of the Ministries of Finance and of Economic Development, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan participated in the talks. A pilot version of strategy can be proposed in the next one or two months. |
