Belarusbank and the Japanese Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI) will sign the memorandum of understanding. The document will be inked within the framework of a visit of Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Aleinik to Tokyo. Sergei Aleinik will chair the Belarusian delegation which will include representatives of Belarusbank, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
In line with the memorandum, the sides intend to cooperate in financing the export-oriented investment projects in Belarus. According to the Foreign Ministry, ministerial consultations between Belarus and Japan are being held in Tokyo on 30 November 1 December. During the consultations, the sides are expected to discuss the Belarusian-Japanese cooperation in political, trade, economic, sci-tech, humanitarian, cultural and other areas, the cooperation of both the sides within the framework of international organizations.
Sergei Aleinik is expected to meet with Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan Chinami Nishimura and Director-General of the European Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Yasuaki Tanizaki.
The Belarusian delegation is expected to have negotiations with representatives of the biggest Japanese trading corporations
Mitsui and Marubeni. The sides will discuss the issues related to the Belarusian export to Japan.
The Belarusian delegation is expected to meet with representatives of the biggest Japanese financial institutions including the Sumitomo
Mitsui Banking Corporation and the Bank of Tokyo-
Mitsubishi UFJ. The sides intend to discuss the prospects of the bilateral credit and investment cooperation.
