Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sven Alkalaj recently stated that the country is ready to cooperate with Russia in all spheres and called for Moscow to develop economic ties with Sarajevo. He noted that both countries have good and stable relations but the existing bilateral relations are short of intensive high-level contacts in the economic sphere, Fars news agency reported. During an official visit to Sarajevo, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discuss with his Bosnian counterpart and other top country officials the Bosnian settlement and bilateral relations between Russia and the Balkan state, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko informed. The Bosnia foreign minister discussed with his Bosnian counterpart a range of issues of the development of political relations with special emphasis on the strengthening of economic cooperation. He noted that despite a large number of agreements being signed, economic cooperation between the states has not yet reached a satisfactory level. So far both countries have inked seven agreements in different spheres and seven other are being prepared.
