EU puts another 20 mln Euro in Iraq’s coffers
The European Union has decided to donate an extra 20 million Euro to help refugees inside and outside the country, the EU’s executive said. The European Commission aid package is intended to provide Iraqis who have fled their homes amidst ongoing security concerns with food, clean water, health care, counseling and help to return home, the Brussels-based body said in a statement. It will be administered by international organizations such as the United Nations and the Red Cross and Red Crescent to refugee populations in Iraq, Syria and Jordan.
