7 + 1 EU miracles to hope for in 2009
-Better, more healthy, and of course energy efficient (ie expensive) coffee machines for the Commission. - European Commission and Parliament cars are all traded in for new hybrid Smarts, or fully battery powered vehicles (design and manufacture of the highly customized vehicles to be commissioned through tender and changed with every Commission term) - Lobbyists can elect a representative to take part in the meetings of the Commission, Council, and Parliament. This elected representative will vote and take part as if s/he were a Commissioner, Head of State, MEP, etc… - European Commissioners meet in a different member state once a month, also establishing and maintaining an office in each country for added connection to the citizens. - All Commissioners, Heads of State and Ministers, MEPs, and high ranking officials of EU and National bodies have twitter, facebook, and any other valuable social networking applications. -The next President of the European Commission is Vladimir Putin, who will not only revive the European Constitution, but bring Russia into the Union to settle the energy security issue once and for all. -The Berlaymont is renamed to Vodadome, and a new clause is included in the Roaming Regulation exempting EU Commission officials from roaming charges. - The British Pound’s exchange rate is locked at 1:1 with the Euro, enabling tourists from/to the UK to use pounds or euros freely, maintaining the sanctity and existence of the pound. -The European Commission practices some social responsibility, and whenever possible takes decisions that can enable Europeans to be compensated in cases of market abuse. Wait… Shouldn’t there be something about Commissioners doing photo shoots for magazines? Maybe next year… Twestival Twestival, charity and the rise of social media A Whole New World Twittering away - the social media and the war in Gaza 7 + 1 EU miracles to hope for in 2009 blog comments powered by Disqus |
