International companies looking for office space
In spite of the financial crisis many international companies are looking to open branches in Denmark, said the industry real estate company RED Property Advisers, which said during the last five years has never had so many authorisations, especially for large US companies, it reported. RED Property Advisers represents Cushman & Wakefield in Denmark and through their cooperation handles international customers’ requests for Danish premises. “In spite of the financial crisis we experience increased interest from abroad. Recently we were authorised by a number of large international companies to look for suitable premises. Actually we have never had so many authorisations as just now,’ said RED agent and adviser Bjarne Jensen. It is not least the large US companies which will strengthen their position on the European and Scandinavian markets and which through Cushman & Wakefield have made inquiries to RED. Jensen pointed out that the current financial crisis has made it difficult for the players in the real estate business but he emphasised that increased interest for business rental has been noted during the last few months. The interest in renting business premises is generally great at present. A few companies are however hit by the recession and are consequently looking for smaller offices.
