Australian media tycoon Rupert Murdoch is selling his Bulgarian channel bTV, as well as two channels in Latvia, one in Serbia, and most probably one operating on the territory of Poland, the Chairwoman of the Electronic Media Council Maria Stefanova, has announced. Among all these television channels, bTV has the best indicators and respectively the best chances of being purchased by the end of this year. bTV sources say that the expected purchase price is about one billion Euro. The Swedish media company Modern Times Group has been referred to as the main candidate to purchase bTV. This company has recently bought Nova TV channel for 620 million Euro.
